Ad Infinitum is looking for an innovative, experienced Marketing & Communications Associate to shape our public-facing communications and audience development/ engagement strategy, at an exciting moment for the organisation as we move into our new home at St Anne’s House, Bristol and scale up our artistic activity towards our 20th anniversary year.
This is a unique opportunity to develop the brand and communications around Ad Infinitum’s journey to date and the exciting projects in the pipeline. You’ll be a specialist in devising and delivering accessible, inclusive and relevant campaigns that have local, national and international impact; underpinning our mission to champion marginalised voices and highlight complex and urgent themes of socio-political injustice. You will be a natural collaborator who thrives in the company of a close knit team; passionate about working with a diverse range of artists, creatives and partners.

KEY INFORMATION ABOUT THE ROLE
Title: Marketing & Communications Associate (Freelance)
Salary: £16,500, based on 66-75 days between September 2026 and Autumn 2027 (depending on level of experience/rate of work)
Contract type: Freelance, 1-2 days a week, schedule to be mutually agreed. Some evening and weekend work will occasionally be required..
Responsible to: Executive Director, Ali Ford
Place of work: This role may be based remotely, or out of Ad Infinitum’s office and studio at St. Anne’s House, St Anne's Rd, Brislington, Bristol BS4 4AB.
Access: We are committed to creating a more diverse and representative arts sector and will work to provide access support or arrangements that are required for you to undertake this role effectively.

Ad Infinitum is a diverse-led, multi-award-winning, internationally acclaimed touring theatre company based in Bristol. Founded in 2007, we embrace difference through collaboration, enabling a more representative theatre culture to exist by placing those minoritised by society at the heart of our work.
Our wide-reaching programme includes creating new theatre productions with national and international collaborators; supporting diverse and underrepresented creatives through our Artist Development Programme; touring critically acclaimed productions from our portfolio; and delivering inspiring Learning and Engagement activities with children and young people.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis from the week commencing Monday 24 August 2026. We will shortlist and interview candidates continuously until we find the right fit for the role.
Initial conversations will be held online, with follow-up interviews to be held in-person in Bristol with 2-3 Ad Infinitum senior/exec team members and representatives. We will discuss a suitable start date with the appointed candidate with the aim for the role to start as soon as possible. If you are successful, then we will collect two references after offering you the role and contact them with your permission.
