Projects: Extraordinary Wall o̶f̶ ̶S̶i̶l̶e̶n̶c̶e̶
Jo Palmer is a Technical Designer for Live Performance and Installation. She has toured nationally and internationally with numerous artists, working regularly with Jo Bannon, Split Britches, Stacy Makishi and Action Hero.
As a Lighting and Video designer for live performance Jo’s past projects have included; Le Gateaux Chocolat’s Duckie, Liz Carr’s Assisted Suicide: The Musical, both at the Southbank Centre, and Split Britches UXO at the Barbican. As a Designer for Installation Jo’s projects have been exhibited at international events including, Valletta Capital of Culture 2018, Malta and Enquentro Festival, Montreal.
In 2012 Jo wrote, Basics; Getting Plugged Up for Performance, a technical performance manual, with accompanying workshops for developing artists and makers. She is currently in the process of writing a second edition of the manual for publication in 2020.
Jo’s current design projects include; Nick Cassenbaum’s My Kind of Michael and Kelly Green’s S.L.A.G.
