Kyra's hair turned grey without her really knowing how this came about. That said, she has been a qualified, professional British Sign Language/ English interpreter since 1990. She's just not very good at maths.

Her career has included many gems; alongside community work, Kyra has performed live with Annie Lennox at the Heldenplatz in Vienna as part of the World Aids Congress, kissed Debbie Harry on stage at Glastonbury Festival, lectured at the Sorbonne, and addressed International Translation Day at the British Library. She has taught a fair few generations of new interpreters and published many articles and chapters in the field.
