LIZZIE WIGGS

DIRECTOR / THEATRE MAKER / PERFORMER / FACILITATOR

Lizzie is an interdisciplinary artist whose training includes two years at the École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq (2007-2009)

Theatre credits include: Hidden Voices (Strike a Light and GL4 Festival) My Mother Said I Never Should, mov. Director (Theatre By the Lake), They Only Come at Night: Resurrection, Mapping the City, Converging paths, 59 Minutes to Save Christmas (Slung Low), The Black Diamond, The Marat/Sade (Punchdrunk),Commissioners (Boundless Theatre) The Whale (Circo Rum Ba Ba), The Unholy Trinity, The Revenge of Mr Trout, The Mischief Before Christmas (State of Play Theatre), The Dinner Table, The Birthday Party (Wet Picnic) and the Natural Theatre Company.

Lizzie is a visiting practitioner at a number of universities and colleges and an Associate Director for National Theatre Connections 2022.

She is the director of Queer Space Bristol CIC, a collaborative, open hearted exploration of new ways to create with the needs, voices, stories and experiences of the diverse Bristol LGBTQIA+ community shaping it from the start. This project began out of a desire to create safe spaces for members of the queer community to come together and explore their creativity, wellbeing and self expression.

Lizzie is a qualified Mindfulness teacher and collaborates with Pilot Theatre to offer free, weekly lunchtime mindfulness meditation sessions to anyone working in the Creative Arts sector.
