Amazing news: we've been awarded Elevate funding!

We’re thrilled to finally share the news that we’ve been awarded Elevate funding from Arts Council England. The next two years are going to be incredibly exciting, read below to find out more about what we have planned!

Arts Council England’s Elevate programme has invested in 45 organisations which are not in recipient of National Portfolio funding to strengthen the resilience of diverse organisations. Ad Infinitum are one of three companies in the South West to receive the funding, which will enable us to diversify our board of Trustees, expand our national and international network of partners, and develop digital resources for schools, colleges and universities around our work. We will be working with Bristol Old Vic, Birmingham Hippodrome, Complicité, Gecko, Graeae, Kneehigh and Deafinitely Theatre.

Following our work with D/deaf artists for productions including Light and Extraordinary Wall [of Silence] (touring 22 Jan – 22 Feb), we will also be designing a new programme for D/deaf directors which will be launched in 2022. We will be working with D/deaf artists over the next two years to research, design and create a platform that will enable D/deaf directors to flourish.

“We are thrilled to support Ad Infinitum through our Elevate funding programme, with thanks to the National Lottery. Their inclusive work enables a greater number of people to experience the great benefits that cultural activity can bring. After previously supporting Ad Infinitum’s brilliant work with diverse audiences, we are now extremely pleased that this Elevate funding will help their organisation to grow and develop long-term organisational resilience.”

We’re thrilled to share the news that In Good Company has awarded the Mid Career Commission for 2019 to Ad Infinitum, with our new show Extraordinary Wall of Silence (working title), a collaboration between Deaf and hearing creatives.

In Good Company describe:

The Mid-Career Commission includes £5,000 commission fee, rehearsal space at one or two IGC partner venues, the chance to perform their work-in-progress piece as part of Departure Lounge at Derby Theatre, their summer festival of fresh and exciting performance; mentorship from IGC Creative Producer, Ben Anderson and support from IGC venue teams through advocacy and profile raising opportunities.

We’re incredibly excited to work with In Good Company and want to extend a huge thanks to them for their support and belief in both Extraordinary Wall of Silence (working title) and the company, and for this great opportunity.
